Step 1: Enable 2-Step Verification in your Google account
- Login to the Google account, click on the Avatar in the top right corner and then click on “Manage your Google Account”.
- Click on “Security” on the left hand menu. Scroll down, under Signing in to Google, click on 2-Step Verification.
- Follow the on-screen steps
Step 2: Enable IMAP in the mailbox
- In the mailbox (email), go to the Settings by click on the gear icon in the top right corner.Â
- If quick settings opens up, select “See all settings”
- Select the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab
- In the IMAP access area, click on “Enable IMAP”
- At the bottom and select “Save Changes”
Step 3: Create an App Password and Sign into Emailbroadcast using it
- Go back to your Google Account Settings
- In the right hand navigation menu, select “Security”
- Under “How to sign into Google” select 2-Step Verification
- Go to the bottom of the page and click App Passwords
- In the Select App dropdown, select Other. You can name the password “app.eb” or any other name, it does not matter.
- Click on Generate
- Copy your generated App Password (this is the password you will use to connect the account to emailbroadcast)
- Go back to emailbroadcast
- In the password field, paste the “App Pasword” you just copied.
- Fill in the other fields if not already done
- Click on “Save”
- Your account should be connected
